#Review Secrets Of A Teenage Heiress by Katy Birchall

Today I have a review of Secrets Of A Teenage Heiress by Katy Birchall. I had so much fun with this book and highly recommend you check it out of you want a fun and laugh out loud book.

Book: Secret Of A Teenage Heiress
Author: Katy Birchall
Series: Yes (1st)
Ages: 11 plus

More info on the book here

Secrets of a teenage heiress was just so fun. I really enjoyed Katy Birchalls It Girl series and the first book in The Hotel Royale series was know different. The book is aimed at a young tweens, 11+, but are protagonist is 14 years old and it definitely reads as a younger end YA book. I as a 29 year old woman however still really enjoyed it and know my tween self would have as well.  Katy's books always make me laugh out loud and Flick was such a fun character, I was smiling and laughing throughout.

Flick lives in Hotel Royale one of Londons more prestigious hotels where the rich and famous come to stay and she is just so funny and snarky I love her. Flick gets up to some really fun things and the setting of the hotel was fabulous. Flick as a character always gets herself into so much trouble that hilarity ensues.

The storyline keep me intrigued and it flowed nicely. Katy`s writing made me really nostalgia of some of my fave authors as a tween including Jacqueline Wilson and I would love to see this as a TV show it would just be so fun. It's depicts a modern teen in 2018 and that's something I loved to see but it also felt like she was a teen, she was your typical fun 14 year old who is navigating the life of celebrity and social media.

I love all the side characters particularly Flicks friends, and especially Grace who is just hilarious! Cal is also just such a sweetheart! As you have may have noticed fun is a word am using quite alot and it was but also it had a story of friendship, love and diversity which was amazing to see.

I can't wait for more of this series and more of Katys writing , she just knows how to write stories for tweens/teens so well. Also as a last boast to get you to pick it up there is a frickin cute dog. 4 Stars

How has your week been?

Blog Tour: The Wright Secret by KA Linde #Review

Today I have a review of The Wright Secret the fourth book in the Wright Series by K.A. Linde, (however it can be read as a standalone) a adult contemporary romance series. I enjoyed the previous Wright brother books and was lucky to get my hands on a e-arc of The Wright Mistake for an honest review for this blog tour hosted by InkSlinger PR.

new brother’s-best-friend stand alone romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

I was just his best friend’s little sister.

But he was always more than that to me.

After twelve years of pining over Patrick’s easy smile, baby blues, and captivating charm, I decide to take matters into my own hands—and completely blow my chance.

Who knew a self-proclaimed manwhore would decide to be a gentleman the first time I’m naked in his bed? Definitely, not me. But when I land there again, neither of us has any intention of stopping.

There’s only one problem: nobody can know. Especially not my three older brothers. If they found out, all hell would break loose.

So I’m willing to keep our secret. Because I want him Wright here, right now.

The Wright Secret is the fourth book in the Wright series. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read them in publication order.

The Wright Secret follows Morgan Wright, a headstrong, smart, tough CEO of Wright Construction. She has fought for this position but will she be able to keep it? Step into our story Patrick, Morgan's love since high school, only he doesn't know this. He has been her brother Austins best friend for years and treats Morgan like a little sister, can he ever see her as a woman worth loving. Hence we follow Morgan and Patrick in there duel POV story of love, life and not giving up on what you want.

I enjoyed The Wright Secret. I have been looking forward to Morgan's story since I started the series and it didn't disappoint. Morgan is depicted as a strong woman, shes career focused and just a badass protagonist and I loved to see this in a contemporary romance, she wasn't all damsel in distress which was refreshing. However she definitely showed her vulnerable human side which I loved to see. Being inside Patrick's head in our other POV really balanced the story of the relationship between both characters and kept the story moving at a nice pace.

KA Linde has developed a perfect combination that runs throughout her stories. Real life characters, twists and turns and relationships that aren't all love and roses but have real issues all wrapped up in family.

I cant wait for the final two books in this series seeing our last Wright sibling, Sutton. This is an adult contemporary romance series I recommend you check out! 3.5 Stars.

Book Blogger Hop #1: 2018 Books I am looking forward to

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer and is a weekly hop to give bloggers a chance to learn about new bloggers, check out some other people in the community and maybe give them a follow. Each week there is a book related question for you to answer in a post.

This week's question:  What upcoming titles are looking forward to reading in 2018? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

At the end of December I did a list of ten 2018 releases that I was excited for which you can check out here , I also did a January 2018 release list as well you can check out here. However the four above are ones I haven't featured yet. Well, I am lying because I of course mentioned With This Man before as it's my top release so far of 2018 so far, in theory it needs to be mentioned again!

Check out a little about my four picks below:

With This Man (This Man #4) by Jodi Ellen Malpas- Releases March 2018- Adult Contemporary Romance - I love Jodi's books having read all of them to date. The This Man series is my favourite of hers and I can't wait for more Jesse. This Man (This Man #1) Review

The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven- Releases March 2018- YA Contemporary - Not only does this have a stunning cover, The Exact Opposite Of Okay is a UK YA debut. From the synopsis I am getting a strong feminist theme and it also deals with the topic of slut shaming. This has some great reviews already on Goodreads and it's one I am looking forward to reading in 2018.

Beautiful Broken Hearts by Kami Garcia- Releases February 2018- YA Contemporary Romance - Again with the beautiful cover, 2018 spewing out those beautiful covers. Beautiful Broken Hearts sounds like a great contemporary romance.

Don't Forget Me by Victoria Stevens- Releases February 2018- YA Contemporary - Another debut that has being getting high praise on Goodreads, a coming of age book dealing with family, falling in love and "finding home in unexpected places".

What 2018 books are you looking forward to?

Top Ten Books On My TBR for 2018

In my 2018 Bookish Resolutions which you can check out here I talked about wanting to read 10 books of my physical TBR pile, this post talks about the 10 books I have picked of my TBR that I want to read in 2018. As I said in my previous post, 10 is a small number, but as I am a person who doesn't usually stick to goals and also a person who reads more on her kindle than physical books 10 is a good enough number. So without further ado here is 10 books I want to read this year!

ACOTAR is the only Sarah J Mass series I am interested in so far and it is one I have been wanting to read for so, so long. I know it has mixed feelings and even though it's a genre I tend to not read I am still really intrigued to read it. Hopefully 2018 is the year, come on I own ACOTAR and a signed copy of ACOMAF so what am I waiting for!

In 2016 Emery's Lords book When We Collided was my favourite YA read of 2016 and I was so excited to get a proof of The Names They Gave Us, but I then found out it dealt with the topic of cancer, this is a topic I struggle to read, but I really want to give it a try as I really love Emery's writing.

Why I haven't read this, I don't know but it is one I really want to read. It is a highly acclaimed YA historical book and it is one I think I will really enjoy.
