Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...

It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks... This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price.

Review

I really enjoyed Frostbite,  I loved it so much. Recently I have discovered when am reading a new series a lot of the opening books I love but not enough to give them a 5* rating, then the rest of the series I love way more. This has happened with the Vampire Academy series. I frickin loved Frostbite. The Story just keeps getting better and better and I don't know how much better it can get and this is only book two of six.

The storyline was so good. The book takes place in a different setting this time as the Moroi are in danger from Strigio attacks so they up and go to a ski resort for winter break so that all the royal families can meet up in a safe environment. I loved seeing the characters in a different setting.

Lissa and Christian I heart they are so cute. And Rose just keeps getting more awesome. The sexual tension between Rose and Dimetri is hotting up and am screaming at the book for them to break the rules. As the characters are meeting with family there is loads of people at the resort and we have some new interesting characters. We have Adrien who I really like. He is super crazy and charming and funny. I kinda guessed something about him. Its easy to guest but Rose clearly doesn't. I love the way he annoys and flirts with Rose. Then we meet Roses mother the fiercely kick ass guardian. There relationship is so dysfunctional. I felt sad for Roses mum and annoyed with Rose at her mum. The slight development of their relationship in Frostbite was good and I can't wait to delve into this more. Finally we have Christian's aunt Tasha. I liked her and loathed her along with Rose.

You can see the story turning, the cracks starting to show in this perfect society and I can't wait till it finally blows up. This story gets better and better, the last quarter had my heart racing, I was freaking out I didn't know what was going to happen. I was so shocked. I can't wait for the next book. I need it straight away, handy I already have it :)

  1. I am glad you are still loving this series to bits, even if this one did take you a while to read. It sounds like a series I have to start myself at some point soon :)
