Rose Hathaway knows it is forbidden to love another guardian.  Her best friend, Lissa – the last Dragomir princess – must always come first.  Unfortunately, when it comes to gorgeous Dimitri Belikov, somerules are meant to be broken . . .

But since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been feeling right.  Something dark has begun to grow in her mind, and ghostly shadows warn of a terrible evil drawing nearer to the Academy's iron gates.  And now that Lissa and Rose's sworn enemy, Victor Dashkov, is on trial for his freedom, tensions in the Moroi world are higher than ever.

Lying to Lissa about Dimitri is one thing, but suddenly there's way more than friendship at stake.  The immortal undead are on the prowl, and they want vengeance for the lives that Rose has stolen.  In a heart-stopping battle to rival her worst nightmares, Rose will have to choose between life, love, and the two people who matter most . . . but will her choice mean that only one can survive?

Review

So this series is getting AMAZING. Vampire Academy, book one was great, a solid start to a series. Book two, Frostbite, OMG how can a series get any better. Well guys it can. I loved Shadow Kiss so, so much. I wanted to give it 10/5 stars, it was that good.

The story line in Shadow Kiss was action packed. We have Rose and her Dhampir friends taking their Guardian exams, you have romance with Rose and Dimitri and Christian and Lissa, throw in Adrian and the drama unfolds. You have Strigoi attacks left , right and centre and you have an ending that made me cry, want to scream and throw the book at the wall. So yeah there was plenty going on.

Rose just gets more kick ass in this book. I love so much that Rose isn't a damsel in distress, she's beautiful, strong, stubborn and could kick anyone's ass. She's everything you want in a strong female lead. Dimitri and Rose in Shadow Kiss, OMG. I just love these guys interaction.

I went though so many emotions in this book. I screamed, I was shocked, I cried, I cheered and just felt all the emotions, which I loved. This series just gets better and better and Richelle Mead is shooting up my list of amazing authors. This series is a must read for PNR fans

  1. This review just made my day. I read this series in a month and then had to wait 6 excruciating months for The Last Sacrifice to be published. I do still think Shadow Kiss was the best, I mean that ending was killer but don't think you're out of the water yet :P I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
